  What
qualities does a usable website have?
§
Your website users can quickly find what they're
looking for.
§
Your users can complete tasks or find information
without errors such as clicking the wrong buttons,
encountering error messages or reading unnecessary
information.
§
Your website users can understand and remember
how to find information or complete the tasks required
on the site.
§
Your users have a satisfactory experience using
the website - not a frustrating one.
§
All
users can find the information they need on your
website, including users with disabilities. For
example, visually-impaired users may have screen-readers
that can only "read" images with "alt tag" labels.
Keep these qualities in mind as you develop and test
your website. If your website does not have all of these
qualities - it may be time to go back to the drawing
board (literally!)
